Visa Requirements for Filipinos to Enter Singapore
Visa is not required for Filipinos to enter Singapore. You just need to have a valid passport with at least 6 months left before expiration. Philippines Passport holders are allowed to stay for up to 30 days Visa-free in Singapore. To avoid being ofloaded, I highly recommend that you book your return ticket, have a proof of hotel accommodation and be ready with your booked activities, as well as attraction tickets so that if ever the immigration officer asks for them, you'll have vouchers to show as proof that you're traveling to Singapore as a tourist.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MARRIED FILIPINAS ENTERING SINGAPORE
If you previously traveled to Singapore using a passport with your maiden name and now you're using a passport with your husband's surname, be sure to tick "YES" in the question "Have you ever used a passport under a different name to enter Singapore?" Be sure to bring a copy of your marriage certificate and write your complete maiden name at the space provided. This is to avoid being charged of misdeclaration in your information in your embarkation/disembarkation card which could result to a fine or imprisonment.
ELECTRONIC ARRIVAL CARD
Starting October 2018, foreigner visiting Singapore shall need to fill up an electronic arrival card in advance via a website or an app, paper-based disembarkation/embarkation cards. This is currently on a 3-month trial period and applies to passenger arriving in Changi Airport, the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints and the four cruise/ferry terminals (the Singapore Cruise Centre, Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, Changi Point Ferry Terminal and Changi Ferry Terminal).
HOW IT WORKS?
- Before they arrive, foreign travellers to Singapore can fill up their personal particulars and pertinent trip information such as their flight and accommodation details via the ICA website or a mobile app.
- When they arrive in Singapore, they need to present only their passport for immigration clearance.
- The electronic arrival card that they filled up in advance will then be called up by ICA's immigration system.

How to get to Singapore?
FROM THE PHILIPPINES
There are many airlines that offer several daily flights to Singapore coming from the major cities in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. In my previous travels to Singapore, I've tried Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Scoot.
When booking your flights, I highly suggest that you book an early morning flight so you will arrive in Singapore early in the morning and have ample time to explore.
Also, to maximize your time in Singapore, take an evening flight to Manila or book your return flight late at night.
From other ASEAN countries, there are also direct flights to Singapore, such as from Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, Kuala Lumpur, and others. You may also book bus, ferry, private transfer or flight tickets to and from Singapore via Bookaway!
How to Get to Singapore City Center from Changi Airport?
Currently, Changi Airport has 4 terminals interconnected by free sky trains and shuttle buses. To get to the city center from any of the Changi Airport terminals, you could take the train, taxi, or hire a private transfer. For ease and convenience, we opted to hire a private car airport transfer going to our hotel located in Chinatown area.

CHANGI AIRPORT TO CITY BY TRAIN
If you want to go to the city center from the airport by train, you just have to find where the train station is. For a super cheap way to get to the city from the airport, the MRT is a great choice! The train station is located at Changi Airport Terminal 2. So, if you're arriving in a different terminal, you just have to take the free sky train to Terminal 2. Just follow the signs "Train to city" and you'll find the MRT train station. Traveling from the airport to the city, takes about 30-45 minutes depending on the location of your hotel. For the fares, it's around 2.50 SGD. You may check this SMRT fare calculator to know the standard train fares. You may also buy an Ez-link card at the customer service counter at the basement of Terminal 2 and use it in riding the trains.
CHANGI AIRPORT TO CITY BY BUS
The Changi Airport Shuttle offers a convenient yet inexpensive way of traveling from and to Changi Airport. These are shared buses that you can find at the arrival hall of the airport terminals. It is convenient because it drops off passenger to most hotels in Singapore city center. But if you're in a group and have several luggage with you, I don't recommend it. This is only ideal for solo traveler and if you don't have huge luggage with you. Because of limited space, only 1 carry-on bag and 1 small luggage per person is allowed when taking the bus. Travel time from the airport to the city center is around 25-30 minutes, and it costs around SGD 9.00 or US$ 6.65 per person. Children below 12 years old's fare is SGD 6.00 or US$ 4.43.
When is the Best Time to Visit Singapore?
Singapore is an all-year round destination with hot and humid weather all throughout. There are also days that there would be rain-showers and thunderstorms which doesn't last long. Weather-wise, just remember that the months of November to January are the monsoon season. Summer is during the months of June, July, and August and also Singapore's peak season.
How many days to stay in Singapore?
It depends on the things you want to do, attractions you want to visit, and of course, your budget. If you're on a limited time and budget, I recommend 3 days and 2 nights stay in Singapore. But if it's you're first time in Singapore, 5 days and 4 nights would be the most ideal for you to visit most of the top tourist attractions in Singapore. You may refer to the Sample 5 days DIY Itinerary I included below.
WHERE TO STAY: Hotels in Singapore
When we were planning this 5 days Singapore trip, we chose a hotel near an MRT Station. For this trip, we stayed for 5 days and 4 nights at Hotel Re! @ Pearl's Hill. It is a boutique hotel with a modern retro theme located in Chinatown, Singapore. It is near MRT stations and bus stop, shops, as well as to restaurants and food plaza in Chinatown.

Singapore's public transportation system is so efficient and convenient. You can easily get around by train or bus and there are so many interesting attractions you can visit near the MRT and Bus Stations.

How to stay connected in Singapore?
Before leaving the Philippines, be sure to activate your mobile carrier's roaming service, so you could still make/take calls and send/receive text messages, and use mobile data.
For internet connection, I highly suggest that you avail a portable travel WiFi which is more affordable than subscribing to mobile roaming service to use your mobile data. By having a portable travel WiFi, you don't need to change your mobile phone's sim card. You can still use your phone in receiving calls and text messages from the Philippines. With a portable travel WiFi, you can enjoy unlimited 4G internet service anywhere in Singapore, and you can share the internet connection up to 8 devices with your travel buddies. This is ideal if you're traveling with a group because you could also split the cost.

Where to Exchange Currency in Singapore?
Singapore's currency is called Singapore Dollar (SGD) which is about 1 SGD = 38.70 PHP or 0.73 USD. You can exchange money at the airport or at the money changers in the city. You can bring in USD, Euros, or Philippine Peso in Singapore. Exchange rate at the airport is low, so I suggest that you change a small amount upon arrival at the airport and change most of your money at the city center for better exchange rate.
You can also withdraw Singapore Dollars from ATMs in Singapore. Just make sure that you call your bank before leaving the country and advise them that you will be withdrawing money from ATMs abroad. This is not to be missed to avoid your card being blocked. Banks usually blocks ATM card if they suspect an unusual activity in your account such as withdrawals from abroad. Be sure to call them beforehand to avoid any inconvenience. Based on experience, the best thing to do is just withdraw money from ATMs. With withdrawing money from the ATMs, you won't lose much of your money's worth in the conversion.

Singapore Botanic Garden

It has been an important centre for science, research and plant conservation, notably in connection with the cultivation of rubber plantations, in Southeast Asia since 1875.”
Some of its famous attractions include: National Orchid Garden, Jacob Ballas Children's Garden, Healing Garden, Bonsai Garden, SBG Heritage Museum, CDL Green Gallery, Library of Botany and Horticulture, the Centre for Ethnobotany, Swan Lake, Bandstand, Sun Garden, Palm Valley, Symphony Lake, among many other gardens and attractions. Gardens by the Bay Singapore
One of the most iconic and popular tourist destinations in Singapore. The Gardens by the Bay is a must-experience urban park in Singapore. Located on the edge of downtown Singapore near the Marina, it is a huge park spanning about 100 hectares of reclaimed land and is composed of several gardens showcasing a variety of plant species and flowers. Don't miss to see and marvel on the amazing Supertrees (entrance is free!), and to visit to the amazing Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.

Arab Street or Kampong Glam
This is heritage-rich area where you could find the best places to eat, drink, and shop in Singapore. From the many vendors, cafes and shops selling to the aroma of food all over, to historic shops selling textiles, perfumes along with traditional Muslim food offerings, Arab Street or Kampong Glam is definitely a must-visit when in Singapore.
Aside from the shops and restaurants here, not to missed is the Masjid Sultan with an amazing golden dome. For the Muslim community and is considered the national mosque of Singapore.
How to Get to Arab Street Singapore?
Take the MRT. The nearest MRT station is Bugis (EW12, East West Line), which is 5 minutes walk to Arab Street.
Little India Singapore
Another must-visit when in Singapore is the Little India. This lively ethnic district of Singapore's showcases the colorful Indian Community thriving in the city. A visit to this buzzing neighborhood will surely awaken all your senses. From colorful shops, to cafes, temples, markets, and street arts, it's an amazing journey through its streets that will surely be an enjoyable one.
Must-visit in Little India Singapore are: Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, House of Tan Teng Niah Building, Mustafa Centre Shopping Mall. Tekka Centre Market, Indian Heritage Centre, and many more!
How to Get to Little India Singapore?
You may take the MRT and alight at Little India Station, Farrer Park Station or Rochor Station. If you're taking the bus, you can get to Little India by taking Bus Services: 23, 48, 56, 57, 64, 65, 66, 131, 139, 147, 166, 170, 1N+, 3N+, 5N+, 6N+.
Chinatown Singapore
Definitely one of my favorites, Singapore's Chinatown is definitely the best place to go on a food trip when in Singapore. Here, you'll find Chinatown Food Street, hawker stores, and restaurants, that will surely satisfy your cravings. Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum
Located in the historic Chinatown District of Singapore, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum is a Buddhist temple and museum complex and a known repository of Buddhist wisdom and relics. Built in 2007, the temple houses the tooth relic of the historical Buddha, which has been recovered from his funeral pyre in Kushinagar, India and displayed on the temple’s grounds. It also exhibits on Buddhist art and history that tell stories of culture over thousands of years old. It is open daily from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm. Admission to the temple and Saturday's weekly-guided tours are free of charge.

Skyline Luge in Sentosa

- You will be staying in a budget hotel worth 3,000 pesos per night and sharing the room with one companion.
- You will be using a 3-day Singapore Tourist Pass worth 20 SGD or 774 PHP
3 Days 2 Nights Breakdown of Expenses
- Hotel (2 nights) - PHP 3,000.00 per person
- Food Expenses for 3 days - PHP 2,000.00 per person
- 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass - PHP 774.00 per person
- Singapore Flyer and Gardens by the Bay Tickets - PHP 1,976.00 per person
- Universal Studios Singapore Ticket - PHP 2,520.00 per person
TOTAL - PHP 10,270.000 per person
Exclusions:

Singapore Travel Tips and Reminders
- Travel time from Changi Airport to Singapore City Center by private car is around 30 minutes and around 45 minutes by train. Plan your trip accordingly.
- You can exchange your Philippine Peso or US Dollars in the money changers at the airport or at the city center. Exchange rate at the airport is low, it's better to change your money at the city center. Alternatively, you can also withdarw money from the ATMs.
- For electricity, most establishments and hotels use 3-pin square plugs and sockets at 220–240 V. Don't forget to bring a universal adapter.
- If you're on a budget, avoid eating in restaurants. It's best to look for hawker stalls (like a food court) where you could eat a decent meal for around $3-5 SGD. The best hawkers that I could suggest are the ones around Chinatown area for its wide selection of tasty and affordable meals.
- Weather in Singapore is most of the time hot and humid. It is suggested that you wear light and breathable clothes. Also, don't forget to bring an umbrella or raincoat for occasional rains and thunderstorms.
- Singapore is a very walk-able city. When exploring the city, you will certainly walk a lot. It is best to wear comfortable footwear.
- Taxis / Grab car/taxi are expensive. Choose a hotel that is near an MRT Station, so it will be easier for you to move around. With an MRT station near your hotel, it's cheaper to get to one destination to another, not to mention it's also faster.
- Eating and drinking inside the bus and MRT is prohibited.
- Chewing gum is not allowed in Singapore. Make sure you're not bringing-in any chewing gum when entering Singapore.
- Cigarettes are too expensive in Singapore (around 400 pesos). You can bring cigarettes from the Philippines to Singapore, but don't bring too much. One opened pack and one sealed pack "may be" allowed.
- GST refund can be availed by tourists on goods and services purchased in Singapore. Keep your receipts and refund it at the airport before your flight. This will save you more on travel expenses.
- To save on travel expenses, book discounted tickets at Klook, join group tours, take the bus or the MRT, walk if you can, stay in hostels or budget hotels in Singapore, and take advantage of flight seat sales and promos.
