The Province of Laguna never ceases to amaze me with its many tourist destinations and lovely attractions, as well as resorts and recreational facilities. Just recently, I visited Laguna for a complimentary stay at Caliraya Resort Club in the quiet town of Lumban, Laguna. Known as one of the "best resorts in Laguna," Caliraya Resort Club is a 7.6-hectare resort located on top of a mountain in the lush mountainside area of Brgy. Lewin in Lumban, Laguna. Being a resort near Metro Manila, it is an awesome place to have a quick escape with your family and friends to get away from the hustle and bustle, and to beat the summer heat of the metropolis.
You don’t need to go too far if you want to enjoy a quick break from the city. With just of couple of hours drive from Metro Manila, a trip to Caliraya Resort Club makes an awesome weekend getaway as well as an ideal location for company outings and team building activities.
This mountaintop resort is an awesome choice for anyone who wants to experience outdoor fun and adventure with a quick trip from the city. With this, let me share to you my top 5 reasons why Caliraya Resort Club is an ideal company outing or team building venue in Laguna (near Metro Manila).
1. Location is near Metro Manila
Located in Barangay Lewin, Lumban, Laguna, the easiest way to get to Caliraya Resort Club is by private transportation. From Metro Manila, head on to South Luzon Expressway all the way to Calamba Exit. Upon reaching Calamba Crossing, turn right. Drive through the highway passing the town of Los Banos, Victoria, Pila, Sta. Cruz and Pagsanjan. After passing the Pagsanjan archway drive all the way to the Pagsanjan Church where you will arrive at a T-Section. From here, turn left and continue driving to Lumban and pass a bridge when passing a Barangay Hall turn left going to Paete from there you will be able to see directional signs heading to Caliraya Resort Club Inc. As easy as that!
2. Nice Rooms
Caliraya Resort Club offers fully air-conditioned rooms complete with essential room amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, television set with cable channels, WiFi internet connection, mini bar, and private toilet and bath that comes with hot/cold showers and complimentary toiletries and use of bath towels. They have different types of rooms ranging from single, double, to family rooms, as well as cabanas and duplexes with bunk beds that can fit as many as 15-20 people.
During our stay, we stayed at a one-bedroom suite at Caliraya Resort Club's Forbes Suites. The room is clean and very spacious, and could comfortably fit 2-4 people. It is ideal for couples, group of friends, and for a small family with 2 children. The room also has a small living area, a dining area, kitchen with sink and refrigerator. The room comes with 2 toilet and bath, cabinets, and television sets with cable channels both at the living room and inside the bedroom.
3. Amazing views
The resort is surrounded with tall tress, lush gardens, the lovely lake, and the mountains. You can also see from the resort the majestic Mount Banahaw of Quezon. As a mountainside resort, the weather is quite cool especially in the evening and early morning. Caliraya Resort is definitely a good place to unwind, relax, and have a quiet vacation with the company of good friends, special someone or with your family.
Aside from the many amazing activities offered at the resort, roaming around and just enjoying the surroundings are my favorites things to do during our stay. I enjoyed walking around and appreciate the beautiful scenery. Don't miss the sunset from the lake, it's so beautiful!
4. Wide array of exciting activities
Caliraya Resort Club is the perfect resort for all adrenaline junkies and for anyone of any age. The resort offers wide array of indoor, waterfront, and outdoor activities that are perfect for your company's outing and team building events. I have personally tried their famous Giant Slide, Kayak, Sky Bicycle, Pinoy Slide, and Giant Swing. Other activities that you can enjoy are the Slide & Fly, Hamster Wheel, Mud Slide, Free Fall, Zip Line, Zorb Ball, and many more. They also have 3 swimming pools, one of which is a wave pool. You'll definitely enjoy the resort's facilities and will never run out of exciting things to do.
5. Value for money rates
For as low as ₱ 650 pesos, you can have a whole day admission to Caliraya Resort Club. Enjoy amazing amenities including 3 swimming pools, wave pool, obstacle courses, giant earthball game, and more. Plus a round trip ferry boat transfer to and from the resort and jeepney transportation around the resort in the rate. For a day pass of ₱ 990 pesos, guests can also enjoy a complimentary all-you-can-eat buffet lunch and drinks. How cool is that?!
