When booking for a place to stay, I always look for hotels that offer the “best value for money” rates. But the question is "how to find the best hotel that offers the best value and suits your needs?" With too many hotels around Metro Manila, it's almost easy to get lost in the midst of "not-so-good" hotels. That is why, I always consider several factors when booking for a hotel - that includes price, location, guest reviews, and amenities offered.
Nowadays, it’s so easy to find a hotel that can meet your preferences. With just a few taps on your mobile phone, the best hotel deals can be easily accessible because of the many online booking sites and apps available. I was recently introduced and got to try the Red Doorz App which offers really great value hotels in many major locations in Metro Manila, Tagaytay, Cebu, Davao, and other key cities around the Philippines.
If you’ve been following this blog, I guess you’ll know by now that I love staying at serviced residences. That’s the main reason why we booked a condo unit in McKinley Hill using the RedDoorz App for a weekend staycation in Manila.
Being a high-end residential area, I really have high expectations with our stay here. Located just beside the beautiful Italian-inspired shopping mall Venice Grand Canal Mall, our rented condo unit is located at The Venice Luxury Residences. An upscale community, it offers amazing amenities and facilities that everyone will surely enjoy. Its prime location is also an added value as it is located right next to the Venice Grand Canal Mall, where you could enjoy many restaurants, cinema, shops, and the IG-worthy Venice Grand Canal.
The Venice Luxury Residences
Upon entering our room, I am quite impressed with the unit’s layout. It is spacious and has a cozy "feel-at-home" ambiance. I love the huge mirror at one side of the living area which adds an illusion of more space into the room.
It has a nice living area, a huge dining area and a kitchen equipped with basic cooking equipment and eating utensils. There’s a refrigerator, a microwave oven, water kettle, and a stove with overhead exhaust. If you want to have a staycation with the comforts of home, staying in a serviced residence is definitely your best choice!
The bed is located at one side of the room near the balcony. It’s a comfy double-size bed with clean white sheets and fluffy pillows. It also has a small table at one side which is a good spot as a workstation if you want to do some work on your laptop.
Other essential room amenities inside the room include an LCD television set with cable channels, air conditioning unit, cabinet, and mirrors. Unfortunately, there was a problem with their cable tv and wifi service provider during our stay. So, we were not able to enjoy TV and wifi when we were there.
When I checked on the toilet and bath, I was surprised that is spacious. The toilet’s size is quite big for a condominium unit, which I like.
It has a small sink, a clean water closet with bidet spray, and a shower area with hot and cold shower feature. A 2-in-1 hair and body shampoo, and a RedDoorz toiletry kit which comes with a toothbrush, hair comb and vanity kit. Clean bath towels were also provided. Yey!
My favorite part of the unit is the balcony which has an overlooking view of the other buildings and the amenities and facilities of The Venice Luxury Residences.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Venice Luxury Residences that we booked via the RedDoorz App. If you're looking for a nice place to stay in McKinley Hill near The Venice Grand Canal Mall, I recommend The Venice Luxury Residences!
How to book a room at RedDoorz App?
Download the RedDoorz App on your Android or iOs device. You can download it for FREE on Google Play and Apple App Store.
Create an account and register.
- You can create an account by signing up using an email or by using your Facebook or Google account. I registered using my email address.
- Fill in the required details such as your first and last names, email address, mobile number, and your desired password. Tap "Confirm" to proceed to the next step.
- You will then be asked to verify your account. Check your mobile phone for the verification code. Enter the code and tap "Verify."
- You now have a RedDoorz Account!
Book a hotel room.
Open your RedDoorz app. Enter the location of the city where you want to stay, the check-in and check-out dates, and number of rooms. Tap "Search RedDoorz" to start your search.
The app will then show you the list of available hotels in your chosen city and dates.
Scroll through the list and find your preferred hotel. You can also sort the listing by price, property type or RedDoorz type - such as Basic, Plus or Premium. This way, you can make the list more tailored fit to your preferences, as well as your budget.
For this booking, I chose RedDoorz Premium near Greenbelt Makati with "Pay at the Hotel option" available. Tap "Select Room" to proceed.
It will then show you the next screen where you input the Guest Information such as email address, title, first and last names, and mobile number. After putting the required information, review the price information.
After reviewing the price information, tap "Pay at Hotel." I'm using this option so that I will just pay the room upon arrival at the hotel. This works well if you don't have a credit card to pay for your hotel. Instead, you'll just pay in cash at the hotel.
Since I'm using the "Pay at Hotel" option, I have to select the time of my arrival. I chose between 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM. Tap "Confirm Booking."
That's it! Booking is confirmed!
For reference, you will receive a text message and a confirmation email with the details of your booking.
As simple and easy as that! I love that they have the "Pay at Hotel" option which is very convenient for those who don't have a credit card. Nice noh?! Enjoy and happy booking!
