Ever wondered how it is to be on top of the tallest tower in the world? Let’s go to Tokyo Skytree!

The Tokyo Skytree is a broadcasting and observation tower located in Sumida Ward in Tokyo, Japan. It is considered as the "tallest tower in the world" with a height of 634.0 meters (2,080 ft) above the ground. The Tokyo Skytree was completed on February 29, 2012, with the tower opening to the public on May 22, 2012. Rising high above the city, it was built using the same principles as the Japanese pagoda. The Tokyo Skytree is also considered as the second tallest structure in the world after Dubai's Burj Khalifa.

Visible from many parts of the city, the Tokyo Skytree dominates and stands out in Tokyo's skyline and has quickly become one of Tokyo's most popular tourist destinations. It has 2 observation decks. One at a height of 350 meters and another one is at 450 meters high. That’s the reason why we wanted to include it in our Tokyo Itinerary. We want to experience what is like be on top of the city and to see the amazing views of Tokyo from above.

Visitors can climb up the Tokyo Skytree Tembo Deck at 350 meters above the ground that features an unmatched wide-open 360ΒΊ view of the city. In good weather you can even spot Mount Fuji looming on the horizon. The observation decks are enclosed with glass windows and can therefore be enjoyed in any weather conditions. Unfortunately, it’s raining and very cloudy during our visit, so were not able to see the majestic Fuji-san.

You can also go up to the Tembo Galleria at 450 meters above the ground which will let you experience “walking in the sky” as you walk through the sloping spiral ramp that gains height as it circles the tower. It is by far the highest accessible point of the Tokyo Skytree that is open to the public.
