Makati City, as a prime commercial and business district in Metro Manila, offers a wide array of accommodation options. If you choose to stay for a night or two in the city, it’s always easy to find one that will suit your needs. Be it a luxury hotel, a budget hostel or a serviced residence, you can certainly find a "home away from home" in this bustling city - one of them is Citadines Salcedo Makati.
Strategically located amid the charming neighborhood of Salcedo Village, Citadines Salcedo Makati offers a sanctuary of tranquility and privacy within the city's central business district. Filled with commercial complexes, and vibrant mix of shopping malls, restaurants, bars and cafƩs, its convenient location is ideal for business and leisure travelers visiting the metropolis.
The Philippines’ first Citadines-branded serviced residence, it provides easy reach to the city’s business, commercial and entertainments districts. It also provides convenient access to major landmarks such as the Ayala Triangle Gardens, Salcedo Weekend Market, Ayala Museum, Greenbelt Makati, Sto. NiƱo dela Paz Chapel, The Landmark, Rustan's, Glorietta Malls and a plethora of other shopping and dining options.
With a total of 215 modern and well-appointed studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments that cater to the diverse needs of travelers, each unit is equipped with a fully-furnished kitchen featuring new and top-of-the-line appliances, a separate living space, bedroom and an en suite toilet and bath.
During our stay, our room is a one-bedroom deluxe with a spacious living room, fully-equipped kitchen, en suite toilet and bath, a dining area, and a lovely bedroom.
With guests' comfort in mind, the unit is fully functional with all the much-need amenities and facilities such as in-room entertainment system, air-conditioning unit, television sets at the living area and at the bedroom, dining table, telephone, alarm clock radio, cabinets, safety deposit box, luggage rack and complimentary hi-speed wireless internet access.
The bedroom is highlighted with a queen-size bed complemented with clean white sheets, huge fluffy pillows and soft duvets. I quickly tried it and its very relaxing! I also love the floor-to-ceiling glass windows at one side of the room which lets natural light in and provides a very nice view of the city.
The toilet and bath is so spacious, clean, and well-lit. It has a walk-in shower with hot and cold shower feature, a sink with huge mirror and a clean water closet with bidet spray. I love the excellent water pressure and the much-needed toilet amenities and toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion and bath soap. Clean and soft and and bath towels were also provided. All we need are here and I couldn't ask for more!
For a much-needed rest and relaxation during your stay, head on to the amenities floor and enjoy the fitness center, self-service launderette, Jacuzzi, lap pool and kiddie pool. The pool area is a great place to relax with reading a book and enjoying the city views. Our favorite area is the outdoor herb garden with lounging areas, located just beside the pool.
For breakfast, it is served daily from 06:00 am to 10:00 am at The Flying Pan located at the ground floor. Breakfast is ala-carte. You could choose from the wide array of local and international dishes from their menu. We tried the pork longanisa and chicken tocino with fried rice, eggs, fresh fruits and a good cup of brewed coffee. They are both good and a nice way to perk up your day.
If you're staying at Citadines Salcedo Makati during the weekend, don't miss the Salcedo Saturday Market which is located just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Established in 2005, Salcedo Saturday Market is a nice community market in Makati City. Brought together by the love of food, it is held every Saturday at Jaime Velasquez Park of Salcedo village in Makati City.
If you happen to visit during Christmas season, a must-see is the "Gallery of Lights" at the Ayala Triangle Gardens. The nightly shows of glittering and dancing Christmas lights will surely be a delight for kids and the whole family. It's just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
