WHICH ONE IS BETTER? BY BUS OR BY TRAIN?
For me, it depends on your preference. If you want to save on time, take the Shinkansen bullet trains. Although it is more more expensive than taking the bus, it will save you a lot on travel time. And if you plan your trip well and organize your itinerary well, you may avail a rail pass which will save you a lot on travel expenses. Having a rail pass is not that expensive if you know how to maximize the use of the pass.
If you're a budget traveler and don't mind the long travel, take the bus. This will save you a lot on travel expenses. Osaka to Hiroshima is around 5-7 hours. If you take an overnight bus, you could also save one night on hotel expenses.
Me, I prefer to use train passes as it comes cheap if you know how to use it and if you plan your trip and your itinerary well.
