14. Escape the crowd at Ilig iligan Beach
The northern part of Boracay to which tourists doesn’t frequent, there’s the wonderful Ilig Iligan Beach. If you want to meditate and rethink your life decisions, this place is the most perfect part of Boracay because of the stunning view plus less tourists around. However, you should be prepared to walk around 5-10 minutes if you don’t like to pay tricycles to go to the area.

Since the island is surrounded by water, you sure would expect delectable seafood feast and local traditional dishes which you can only taste in Boracay. Since it is directly sourced around the area, it will be cheaper than usual except if you order them from hotels and restaurants.

Every place feature different food delicacy which you can only taste on that place. Never miss trying out Boracay’s homegrown delicacies which you can easily ask the local about! Restaurants around and even villagers sell bunch around the area, all you need to do is ask. My favorites? I love Boracay's Chori Burger and Calamansi Muffin! Yummmmmmm!
21. Join the Pub crawl
Make new friends, take shots, and party like a local on Boracay’s pub crawl. The night hides the most fun and exciting place as the serene waters from the morning turns into a dance spot in the night where you meet a lot of tourists raving and partying all night to their hearts’ content.
22. Go on a hike to Mt. Luho Viewpoint
Mt. Luho Viewpoint is considered as the highest point in Boracay at 100 meters above sea level. It is so easy to get here and to enjoy its small open deck viewpoint. It offers an amazing 360 degrees panoramic view of the island. An entrance fee of PhP 120 per head is collected for the maintenance of the place.
23. Explore on a Segway
We went to Mt. Luho Viewdeck on a Segway. At first, I thought riding a Segway would be hard, but it wasn't. After a few minutes of instructions and practicing with the help of our guide, we were able to learn how to use the Segway and how to maneuver it the right way. It was so much fun! We were so happy to explore the breathtaking and overlooking sights of Boracay island while effortlessly traveling on a Segway.
24. Enjoy ATV Ride and Buggy Cars
Renting an ATV or a buggy car is also a nice way to explore the island. You may also go on a short stop to Mount Luho with an ATV. Take stunning photographs everywhere and make unforgettable memories with your family and friends.

Of all the Boracay water activities that I've done, the Fly Fish is the most thrilling and exciting. This will really get you wet and will make you scream. The fast ride on a flying fish launches you into the air and enjoy the splash of the waters while being pulled by a fast speedboat. 29. Take a photo of Willy's Rock
Probably on of the most distinguishable landmarks on Boracay's white beach, Willy Rock is a perfect place to take photos while enjoying the beach. This rock formation along station 1 has a shrine dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Because of the shallow water surrounding it, you can climb the rock formation and have your photos. Willy's Rock is definitely one of Boracay's most photographed landmarks.

34. Day tour to Carabao Island
Carabao Island or Hambil to locals, is an island paradise in the town of San Jose in the Province of Romblon. Known for its pristine and uncrowded beaches with clear turquoise waters and fine white sand that can rival that of Boracay, Carabao Island is a must-visit destination in the Province of Romblon. Renting a boat from Boracay, Carabao Island is just an hour away and can be enjoyed on a one full day. Please visit my post how to get to Carabao Island to know more how to get there.
HOW TO GET TO BORACAY?
Boracay is served by two airports. One is Kalibo International Airport (KLO) and Caticlan Airport (MPH), also known as Godofredo P. Ramos Airport. MPH is the nearest airport to Boracay Island. If you're coming from Manila and from other key cities in the Philippines, you may choose to land in either of the two airports. If you're coming from abroad, take a flight to Kalibo International Airport.
MANILA TO CATICLAN AIRPORT TO BORACAY
Coming from Metro Manila, the easiest and fastest way to get to Boracay is by taking an hour flight to Caticlan Airport. From Caticlan Airport, make your way to the Caticlan Jetty Port by taking a tricycle or by foot. At the jetty port, go through verification and registration and then buy boat ticket (₱25) and pay environmental (₱100) and terminal (₱75) fees. After that, board the boat that will bring you to Boracay. Upon reaching the island, take a tricycle to your hotel or resort.
For ease and convenience, especially if you have luggage or traveling with kids or senior citizens, I highly recommend booking a transfer to Boracay. Check out this option:
MANILA TO KALIBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO BORACAY
Coming from Metro Manila, take a flight to Kalibo International Airport (KLO). This airport is around 1.5 to 2 hours away to Boracay Island. From here, you'll need to get to Caticlan Jetty Port where you could find the boats that will bring you to Boracay Island. Upon exiting the airport, you'll find many tour agencies offering packaged transfers to Boracay. It is operated by Southwest Tours, one of the island's most trusted transfer operators. Taking these transfers is convenient and hassle-free, and will bring you directly to your hotel or resort in Boracay.
For ease and convenience, I highly recommend that you book it in advance. These packages includes the bus or van transfer, as well as the boat ticket (₱25), environmental fee (₱100) and terminal (₱75) fee. You may also book one-way or round-trip transfers. Check your options below:

- SHARED Transfers from Kalibo Airport to Boracay
TRAVEL TIPS: Kalibo International Airport also services flights from abroad, such as flights coming in directly from China and South Korea. If you're going to Boracay via Kalibo International Airport, just follow the directions I've mentioned above.
MANILA TO BORACAY VIA BATANGAS PORT
You can also get to Boracay via Batangas Port by taking 2GO Travel's ferry service. From Manila, take a bus to Batangas Port where you could find the ferries that goes to Caticlan. There are two trips per day. One ship (St. Ignatius of Loyola) leaves at 09:00 PM and arrives in Caticlan at 06:30 AM the following day. Another ship (St. Anthony de Padua) leaves at 10:00 AM and arrives in Caticlan at 09:00 PM on the same day. Upon reaching Caticlan Port, follow the instructions above.
Aside from 2GO Travel, there are also other ferry services that goes to Boracay via Batangas Port. You may also book your ferry tickets in advance. Check rates, ferry schedules and availability here. You may also book a flight, minivan or bus-ferry transportation from and to Boracay Island on this link.
WHERE TO STAY IN BORACAY?
When looking for hotels in Boracay, consider the ones located along the White Beach. This is where most of the resorts and hotels are located along Stations 1, 2 and 3. If you want to stay in the quieter side of Boracay, the Diniwid Beach area is ideal for you. If you want to learn Kitesurfing and also wants to stay in a less crowded area of the island, Bulabog Beach area the best place for you.
Before traveling to Boracay, be sure that you have already booked your hotel or resort. Since Boracay's re-opening after 6 months of rehabilitation in 2018, the authorities now require a proof of hotel reservation before they allow you to board the boat and enter the island. Also, make sure that you only book an accredited hotel by the Philippines' Department of Tourism. Here is the updated list of accredited accommodation establishment allowed to operate in Boracay.
