Where to get and how to download VaxCert with booster shot? Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get your Covid-19 Digital Vaccine Certificate online this 2023.
The Philippine government's vaccine certificate request website called VaxCertPH has been launched and is now fully operational. This online portal lets fully-vaccinated individuals get a digital copy of their vaccine certificate as proof of their inoculation status. This digital vaccination certificate issued by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) can be used on your travels in the Philippines and abroad.
UPDATES:
Last August 25, 2022, I had my 2nd booster shot. After 48 hours, I downloaded a new VaxCert and it already includes a record of my 2nd booster shot. Yey!
Last February 7, 2022, the Department of Health (DOH) advised all individuals who previously downloaded their Covid-19 Vaccination Certificates to request a new version of VaxCertPH in the portal. The QR code of previously generated certificates (downloaded before February 7, 2022) will become outdated and unreadable. Regenerate your VaxCertPH if you already have it, or get your VaxCertPH 48 hours after your full vaccination.
As of October 29, 2021, VaxCertPH to accept digital vaccination certificate requests for domestic use. As more and more travel destinations in the Philippines eases its travel requirements, you can now get vaccination certificate via VaxCertPH that you could use as proof of vaccination status and for domestic travel requirements.
Upon its launch last year, only Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) as well as Metro Manila and Baguio City residents who will be traveling outside the Philippines in the next 2 weeks are allowed to use the website.
How to Get a VAXCERT or Vaccine Certificate from VaxCertPH?
Here are the step-by-step procedure on how to download your VAXCERT or vaccine certificate with QR code from VaxCertPH from DOH (Department of Health) that you could use as proof of your Covid-19 vaccination status and for your future travels in the Philippines and abroad.
1. Visit the official VaxCertPH website
Go to www.VaxCert.doh.gov.ph. Here's how the website looks like. Click the "Continue" button to request for vaccination certificate.
2. Review & Accept the Data Privacy Statement
On the next page, review and accept the data privacy statement by ticking the box. Make sure to have your vaccination card and any government-issued ID before clicking "Continue".
3. Answer the questions on the screen
Next step is you will be asked the following questions. Click the dropdown menu to choose your answer. Then click "NEXT".
- What is your vaccination status?
- Were you vaccinated more than 48 hours ago for any of your doses?
4. Enter your Personal Information
Next is you have to enter your personal information. Input your last name, first name, middle name, suffix (if any), and date of birth. Make sure that the information you enter matches the information on your vaccination card. After that, click "NEXT".
5. Enter your Vaccination Details
Next is you have to enter your vaccination details. If your vaccine is Johnson & Johnson, tick the box. If not, enter the details of your vaccination such as the location and dates of your 1st and 2nd dose of vaccine. Then click "VERIFY VACCINATION INFORMATION".
UPDATE: If you had your 3rd shot or booster shot, you may also input the vaccination details so that your booster shot details will be included in your Vaccination Certificate. You may request for an updated vaccination certificate 2 weeks from the date of your booster shot.

6. Review all the information
On the next screen, it will show you the information you entered. Review all the information. If all details are correct, click "CONTINUE", else, click "GO BACK" if you need to change any information you entered.
7. Enter the Captcha Code
Enter the captcha code on the screen to proceed.
8. Review your Vaccination Details
The next screen will show you your vaccination details such as your full name, birthday, sex, vaccine name, and the your vaccination dates. If you need to change any information click "UPDATE RECORD", else click "GENERATE VACCINATION CERTIFICATE". If you wish to use it for your travel abroad, you may also enter your passport number before generating your vaccine certificate.
9. Save a Copy of your Vaccination Certificate
Your vaccination certificate with QR code will be displayed on the screen. You may download it, print or take a screenshot of your vaccination certificate.
Since I already had my Covid-19 booster shot 2 weeks ago, I generated again a new vaccine certificate. This vaccine certificate already includes the booster shot details. Here's how my updated VaxCertPH looks like.
Last August 25, 2022, I had my 4th shot or 2nd booster shot. After 48 hours, I downloaded a new VaxCert and it already includes a record of my 2nd booster shot. No need to wait for 2 weeks for it to reflect on my VaxCertPH. Yey!
Notes:
- The generated vaccination certificate is only valid after 2 weeks from the final vaccination date.

ReplyDeleteMy son and I are fully vaccinated, but no records in DOH (update in progress). I requested for vaxcert in February 2023 to apply for Japan and Kore visa, it's good that the embassies did not require to present the vaxcert. I made 3 follow-ups by email but till now there is no progress. Appreciate if you can expedite the issuance of vaxcert as my family is leaving for Japan soon. My niece that they were required to upload the vaxcert in the Japan immigration form. Please also clarify why my husband has vaccination record in DOH while my son and I do not have.
