Location: Jose Abad Santos Ave, San Fernando, Pampanga (at the back of SM City San Fernando)

Located in the city of San Fernando, Pampanga, Sky Ranch Pampanga is one of the top tourist spots in Pampanga and one of the best theme parks in Central Luzon that is definitely a go-to place for family leisure and entertainment. Location: Heritage District, Santo Rosario St, Angeles City Pampanga

If you want to know more about the history of Angeles City, you should visit Museo Ning Angeles (Museum of Angeles). Located in the heart of the Sto. Rosario Historic District (across Holy Rosary Cathedral), it houses some exhibits and memorabilia about Angeles City and showcases the city's rich heritage, including the culture and tradition of Angeleños. 9. Visit JB Betis Woodcrafts

Location: Dalan Betis Rd, Guagua, Pampanga

Betis in Guagua, Pampanga is known for its furniture-making and wood-making industry. One of the popular furniture makers in Betis is JB Betis Woodcrafts which has several showrooms and a number of workshops. A tour of their workshops will let you see how their meticulously and intricately-designed furniture and other wood products were made. This is a good place to shop for expertly-carved furniture and wood products to bring back home. They are open daily (except Sundays) from 07:30 am to 05:00 pm (until 04:30 pm only on Saturdays). 10. Go Karting in Clark Adventure Park

Location: Clark Freeport, Mabalacat, Pampanga

Clark Adventure Park is one of the top tourist spots in Pampanga. Located up in the hills of Clark, Pampanga, Clark Adventure Park is a good place to experience karting. Try your hand at driving a Go-Kart and enjoy the fun and thrilling ride! It will surely be a day of fun and action everyone will enjoy.

11. Discover the Regal Elegance of Pamintuan Mansion

Location: Angeles City, Pampanga

The Pamintuan Mansion was built by Mariano Pamintuan and Valentina Torres in 1890 as a wedding gift to their son Florentino. In 1899, it served as the headquarters of Gen. Antonio Luna and as the seat of the Philippine Republic. Known as the venue of the first anniversary of the declaration of Philippines Independence in 1898, it houses several galleries that showcases the different aspects of Filipino life, culture and traditions. Definitely a must-visit, it is one of the most important historical tourist spots in Pampanga.

OPENING HOURS & ENTRANCE FEE: Located at Santo Entierro and Miranda Streets, it is part of the "heritage district of Angeles City." It open daily (except Mondays) from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm. Admission is free but donations are accepted.



12. Mt. Arayat National Park

Location: Arayat, Pampanga

Towering over the Pampanga plains, Mt. Arayat is a potentially active stratovolcano with a height of 1,026 metres above sea level. Located inside Mt. Arayat National Park, it's jump-off point can be found in Brgy. Bano, Arayat, Pampanga. For hikers and mountaineers, it can be considered as a minor climb and can be summited in 4 hours. It's a good mountain to hike for beginners and for those looking for day hikes near Metro Manila. Seeing it from many places in the province, it is definitely one of the most iconic tourist spots in Pampanga.

Location: DECA Homes Clark Resort Residences, Angeles City

One of the most exciting and top-rated things to do in Pampanga is Wakeboarding at Deca Wakepark Clark. Best experienced with your family and friends, Deca Wakepark Clark is an awesome water sport destination in Central Luzon. Whether you're a pro or a beginner, this is a good place to enjoy and learn wakeboarding near Metro Manila.

Deca Wakepark Clark is located at DECA Homes Clark Resort Residences, Angeles City. It is open daily from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm.

Cucina ni Atching Lillian Borromeo

14. Savor on Kapampangan Cuisines at Cucina ni Atching Lillian

Location: Brgy. Parian, Mexico, Pampanga

Renowned chef, food historian and considered as one of the pillars of Kapampangan cuisine, Atching Lillian Borromeo is well-known for cooking heirloom Kapampangan delicacies and San Nicolas cookies of Pampanga. In her home in Mexico, Pampanga, you can make a reservation to have a taste of some of her specialty Kampampangan dishes.

While there, you can also visit Atching Lillian's kitchen of antiquities. You can even get a chance to learn how to make the San Nicolas cookies - from mixing to gently kneading the dough to flattening it on the cookie mold with a rolling pin. When we went there, I got to try how to make San Nicolas Cookies. I am so happy because Atching Lillian graciously taught us how to make one. It's definitely one of the best culinary tourist spots in Pampanga that should be included in your itinerary.

Things to do in Clark Pampanga Tourist Spots

15. Visit and Enjoy Clark Museum and 4D Theater

Location: S. Osmeña St., Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga

Clark Museum and 4D Theater is comprised of 4 galleries and a theater devoted to Clark, Pampanga's history. Visiting the galleries is a good learning experience especially for people wanting to learn about World War II, the American occupation in this part of the Philippines, geology and geography, the culture and traditions of Indigenous Aetas, and many more. A must visit Pampanga tourist spots, it also has a 48-seater state-of-the-art 4D theater that features the documentary film, "Risen from the Ashes" which is about the Mount Pinatubo eruption back in 1991. This 20-minute documentary will make you feel you're part of the film with the theater's 4D effects such as seat movements, winds, lightning and rumbling sounds, smoke, and other effects. This is definitely a must-experience when visiting Clark, Pampanga. It's an educational destination that can be enjoyed by anyone, especially the kids and the whole family.

OPENING HOURS & ENTRANCE FEE: Clark Museum and 4D Theater is located at S. Osmeña St., Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Entrance fee is 100 pesos and parking is free.


16. Learn about the Philippines at Nayong Pilipino

Location: Centennial Rd, Clark Field, Mabalacat, Pampanga

Showcasing Philippine's culture, history and popular tourist attractions, Nayong Pilipino in Clark Freeport Zone is a must-visit cultural theme park and one of the most popular tourist spots in Pampanga. Here, you could see replicas of different houses and villages in the Philippines, watch cultural shows, visit museums, and many more. If you are interested to know more about Filipino culture and heritage, Nayong Pilipino is the place to be!

OPENING HOURS & ENTRANCE FEE: Nayong Pilipino is open from 8:00 am to 05:00 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. Entrance fee is P100 pesos for adults, P100 pesos for kids aged 4 to 12 years old and P120 pesos for senior citizens.

What to do in Pampanga

17. Visit the Center for Kapampangan Studies

Location: Holy Angel University, Angeles City, Pampanga

Holy Angel University's Center for Kapampangan Studies showcases so much about Kapampangan's rich history, culture and traditions. It is housed in a three-story structure; the first floor has a gallery, mini-museum and library. The second floor has the Archival Section and lastly, on third floor is the theater.

Not to be missed is the Manansala Gallery which showcases the different artworks of National Artist Vicente Manansala. Unknown to many, Manansala hails from Macabebe, Pampanga and his family donated an extensive collection of his works to the museum for other people to appreciate.

Also not to be missed is the Pinatubo Museum. It opened last June 14, 2016 - the eve of the 25th anniversary of the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo. The Museum features a mural timeline of the history of Mt. Pinatubo, a mural sculpture by Kapampangan artist Arnel Garcia, and various exhibits executed by researcher-artist Joel Mallari.

Where to Eat in Pampanga Abes Farm in Magalang

18. Relaxing Stay and Food Trip at Abe's Farm

Location: Barangay Ayala, Magalang, Pampanga

Nestled on the foothills of Mt. Arayat lies a nice and lovely resort-hotel called Abe's Farm. It is a sprawling property in Magalang, Pampanga which offers quiet and relaxing hideaway perfect for a countryside vacation with your family, friends and special someone.

Abe's Farm has a restaurant, swimming pool, spa, a museum and accommodations to cater to the visiting guests. The restaurant is set on an old nipa rest house which feels like your grandparent's house in the province with bamboo and antique wood furniture dominating its interiors. It has separate dining areas complemented with a charming ambiance coming from the large open windows, wooden chairs and tables, and lovely interiors. 19. Attend a Fiesta or Festivals in Pampanga

Location: Different cities and towns in Pampanga

In the Philippines, almost every town (or even barangay) has their own fiesta or festival. One of the best times to visit Pampanga is during a fiesta or a festival when the town comes alive with so many activities. Also not to be missed are the colorful and traditional festivals in Pampanga. Here are some of the most popular festivals in Pampanga you should include in your itinerary.
  • Giant Lantern Festival - locally known as "Ligligan Parul", it is held every December in San Fernando City, Pampanga. This Christmas Festival is one of the most popular festivals in Pampanga.
  • Hot Air Balloon Fiesta - held in Lubao and Clark every February or March, it is one of the most-attended and highly-anticipated festivals in Pampanga.
  • Maleldo Lenten Rites - held every Lenten Season in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
  • Fiestang Tugak - celebrating the old past time of catching frogs, this festival is held every October in San Fernando City, Pampanga. "Maleldo" is the Kapampangan word for Holy Week, it is a holy week re-enactment of the passion and death of Jesus Christ.
  • Ebon Ebon Festival - also called "Birds and Eggs Festival," it is a celebration held every February 1 and 2 in the municipality of Candaba, Pampanga.
  • Sinukwan Festival - held every December in San Fernando City, this festival honors Aring Sinukwan, the god of the ancient Kapampangans.

Attending the festivals is definitely one of my favorite best things to do in Pampanga!

HOW TO GET TO PAMPANGA?


The Province of Pampanga has an international airport in Clark called Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) or simply Clark Airport. Several international and local flights fly and arrive at DMIA. Upon arrival at the airport, you may take taxi or book a Grab Car to get to your destination. For ease and convenience, you may also book a private airport transfer.

BOOK AN AIRPORT TRANSFER HERE!

If you're coming from Metro Manila, you may take a bus bound for Northern Luzon such as Baguio, La Union, Tarlac, Vigan, Laoag or Pangasinan. Just make sure that the bus will make a stop in Dau Terminal in Mabalacat City. From there, you could take a jeepney going to Angeles City or Clark or to your desired destination. If you're going to San Fernando City, there are direct buses from Manila that goes to the city. Bus terminals going north are found in Cubao and EDSA-Taft.

How to get around? Jeepneys going to different towns and cities in Pampanga can be found at Dau Terminal in Mabalacat. If you're staying in Clark or Angeles area, GrabCar is available. So, it won't be a problem going to different tourist spots even if you don't have a car.
