Traveling to El Nido, Palawan this 2022? Here are the latest El Nido travel requirements, entry protocols, and travel guidelines for tourists and visitors traveling to Palawan!
As of January 1, 2022, the Province of Palawan in under Alert Level 2 quarantine classification until January 15, 2022. Currently, non-essential and leisure travels are allowed in El Nido, but subject to travel requirements listed below. As El Nido is under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) only tourists coming from areas under Alert Level 4 and below to areas under GCQ and MGCQ shall be allowed entry to El Nido.
Who are allowed to travel to El Nido, Palawan?
All ages are allowed entry to El Nido, but the following must be fully vaccinated:
- Individuals over 65 years of age
- Those with immunodeficiency, comorbidities, or other health risks
- Pregnant women
NOTE: An individual is considered fully-vaccinated if:
- Two (2) weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a 2-dose series.
- Two (2) weeks or more have passed after receiving a single-dose vaccine.

El Nido Travel Requirements for Tourists coming from outside of Palawan
If you're a tourist coming from other provinces, below are the travel requirements you need to secure to be allowed entry to El Nido. Please note that tourists from the National Capital Region (NCR) are allowed point-to-point travel to El Nido.
- Approved S-Pass travel application.
- QR-coded Tourist Id (QT-ID). You can get this from www.elnidotourism.ph by submitting the required documents. Cut-off of application is at 3:00 pm the day before your arrival in El Nido.

- Roundtrip tickets.
- Valid identification card.
- Private transportation from the point of entry to the hotel and vice versa. See photo below for the guidelines on transportation.
El Nido Travel Requirements for Palawan-based Tourists
If you're a Palawan resident visiting El Nido, here are the travel requirements you need to secure before traveling to El Nido.
- Negative Rapid Antigen Test Result. EXCEPT for the following:
- Fully Vaccinated Authorized Person Outside of Residence (APOR) with vaccination card
- Fully Vaccinated El Nido resident who left and came back within the 72-hour window period
- Fully Vaccinated van drivers and crew, but need to present Negative Rapid Antigen Test result every 7 days
- Fully Vaccinated tourist from anywhere in Palawan
- QR-coded Tourist Id (QT-ID). Get this from www.elnidotourism.ph by submitting the required documents.
- Proof of Palawan residency.
- Valid identification card.

Notes:
- Tourists who intends to stay for more than seven (7) days will be subjected to antigen test on the 8th day.
- For other types of traveler such as APOR (Authorized Persons Outside of Residence), LSI (Locally Stranded Individuals), Returning Resident, ROF (Returning Overseas Filipinos), please contact the LGU of your destination for the latest and updated travel requirements.
