As of March 1, 2022, the Province of Ilocos Sur is under Alert Level 1 until March 15, 2022. It is open for tourism and leisure travels! Tourists coming from GCQ (General Community Quarantine), MGCQ (Modified General Community Quarantine), Alert Levels 1, 2, and 3 are allowed to enter the province with no age restrictions. Below are the Ilocos Sur Travel Requirements according to the Department of Tourism (DOT) Philippines' website.

Ilocos Sur Travel Requirements as of March 1, 2022
For fully-vaccinated domestic tourists from areas under Alert Levels 1 and 2:
- Vaccination card.
- Valid ID.
- Proof of confirmed booking at a DOT-accredited or LGU-licensed establishment.
- Note: children 11 years old and below are allowed to enter for leisure purposes as long as accompanied by fully vaccinated adults.
For fully-vaccinated domestic tourists from areas under Alert Level 3:
- Vaccination card.

- Valid ID.
- Proof of confirmed booking at a DOT-accredited or LGU-licensed establishment.
For fully-vaccinated foreign tourists who have arrived from non-Visa requiring countries:
- Vaccination card.

Ilocos Sur Travel Requirements as of February 1, 2022
- Valid ID.
- Vaccination card.
- Tourist must present a negative RT-PCR test released within 48 hours. In its absence, a negative Antigen Test may be accepted. Click here to know where to get Affordable RT-PCR Test or Antigen Test from DOH-Accredited clinics.
- Accommodation Establishment (AE) booking confirmation.
- Tara Na Travel request or QR code.
- Only fully vaccinated adults and children accompanied by fully vaccinated adults coming from areas under Alert Level 2 and 3 are allowed.
Who are not allowed?
- Tourists coming from areas under Alert Level 4 and 5.
Ilocos Sur Travel Requirements (January 2022)
Effective January 10, 2022, only fully vaccinated adults and children accompanied by fully vaccinated adults from Alert Level 3 areas are allowed to enter Ilocos Sur as tourists. Meanwhile, unvaccinated tourists from Alert Level 2 areas can still enter the province.
Requirements for tourists coming from Alert Level 3 areas:

Ilocos Sur Travel Requirements (December 2021)
FOR FULLY-VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS:
These requirements only apply to fully-vaccinated tourists coming from Alert Levels 1, 2, and 3.

FOR UNVACCINATED INDIVIDUALS:
These requirements also apply to partially vaccinated and fully vaccinated tourists coming from Alert Level 4 areas.

Ilocos Sur Travel Guidelines
- Tourist shall refer to any person coming to the province of Ilocos Sur for leisure or tourism purposes, after having satisfied the set requirement, and shall stay in the province for at least overnight.
- Tourists who have relatives and friends in the province shall not be allowed to stay in their relatives' residences but shall be required to stay in a pre-booked DOT-accredited hotel/resort/villa/transient houses.
- No age restriction imposed for tourism purposes.
- Only pre-booked or pre-arranged tours with DOT-accredited tour agents/accommodation establishments shall be allowed in the province of Ilocos Sur. Walk-in tourists are not yet allowed.
Ilocos Sur Travel Requirements (November 2021)
- Apply for a travel pass at Tara Na! website; secure QR Code.
- Any government issued identification card.
