Recently, I went to Batangas and stayed at OYO 785 The Greenhive Hotel, which offers one of the best budget accommodations in Ibaan, Batangas. Tucked away in the quaint town, it is a good place to stay if you’re looking for affordable hotel when exploring the province as it is near Laiya Beach in San Juan, and the progressive cities of Batangas and Lipa. As one of the few budget hotels in Ibaan, OYO 785 The Greenhive Hotel boasts of 17 smoke-free guestrooms that are ideal for business and leisure travelers looking for decent, quality, and affordable accommodation in the area.

Upon entering the hotel premises, I was hospitably welcomed by the hotel staff, warmly greeted me with warm smiles and assisted me with my booking. Checking-in was fast and efficient. After about 5 minutes, the key card to my room was handed to me. Just don’t forget to bring your identification and vaccination cards for verification purposes.

While checking-in, I can’t help but admire the hotel's lovely lobby and restaurant. It is very spacious, aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, and very well-lit. Thanks to the huge windows at one side where natural light comes in. It has a modern-industrial design with a lot of tables and sitting areas for guests to lounge or enjoy a good meal. I love it!

My booked room is a Deluxe Double Room that can comfortably fit two adults. It is not that big, but it is clean, well-organized, equipped with modern furnishings and has all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It is highlighted with a comfy double-size bed coupled with plush white linens and fluffy pillows. Coming from a long drive, I tried it right away and it really feels soft, comfy and smells fresh!

Other room amenities include an en suite toilet and bath, an individually-controlled and silent air-conditioning unit, refrigerator, television set with cable channels, a workstation, a sitting area, a huge mirror, coffee and tea-making facilities, and clothes hanging rack. I love that even if the room is filled with these amenities, it feels uncluttered and there's still a lot of space to move around because of the efficient use of space.

The toilet and bath is spacious, clean, and well lit. It has a water closet with bidet spray, a shower area with hot and cold rain-shower feature and excellent water pressure, and a lavatory with huge mirror. For guests’ convenience, basic toiletries such as shampoo, bath soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and bath towels were all provided.

The room is located in front of the hotel so it has an access to the terrace where you could lounge on the tables and chairs while enjoying the views of nature and the mountain. As a tip, request for a room located at the hotel’s facade so you could enjoy the terrace and the views.

Other hotel amenities include free and spacious parking area, conference/meeting room, and an in-house restaurant. If you wish to order food from the many dining options nearbly, food delivery is allowed. Just ask the hotel staff for assistance or ask them for other services that the hotel offers.

The following morning, I woke up early and proceeded to the restaurant to have my breakfast. Every booking comes with a complimentary set breakfast of all-time Filipino favorites such as beef tapa, sausage, longganisa, or tocino. I had the beef tapa breakfast paired with sunny-side up egg and freshly-brewed coffee. Serving was fast, and the food were great. Perfect to start my day!

Overall, I had a memorable and relaxing stay at OYO 785 The Greenhive Hotel in Ibaan, Batangas. It only proves that staying in a budget hotel doesn't mean you have to compromise comfort, safety, and convenience. That's what OYO 785 The Greenhive Hotel offers.
