Traveling from Luguna to Quezon or Quezon to Laguna? Try the newly-launched Calamba-Lucena-Calamba PNR trains!
The Philippine National Railways' (PNR) Calamba to Lucena and Lucena to Calamba routes are officially open! According to the PNR's Facebook post, the re-opening of this route will shorten travel time to and from the cities of Lucena in Quezon, San Pablo and Calamba in Laguna. With this newly re-opened route, the estimated travel time from Lucena City to Calamba is expected to be just 2 hours and and 33 minutes while travel time from Lucena City to San Pablo City will be only 1 hour and 32 minutes.

This Calamba - Lucena PNR route also traverses various cities and municipalities between these two provinces. The three main stations are located in Lucena, San Pablo, and Calamba, along with 9 other stations spread across the segment. They are:
- Calamba (main station)
- Pansol
- Masili
- Los Baños
- College
- IRRI
- San Pablo (main station)
- Tiaong (Lalig)
- Candelaria
- Lutucan
- Sariaya

As of posting time, the morning trip from Lucena station leaves at 4:50 AM, while the last trip from Calamba is at 6:30 PM.
PNR Calamba to Lucena v.v. Train Fares
How much do the PNR train rides cost? The minimum fare from Lucena to San Pablo is priced at PHP 15, while the minimum fare from Lucena to Calamba is priced at PHP 20. End-to-end trips from Calamba to Lucena will cost PHP 105, and vice versa. Twenty percent (20%) discount shall be given to senior citizens, students, and PWDs.
