Successful SIM registration! I was able to register my SIM card within 5 minutes! Here's how I did it!
Under the new SIM Registration Law, all new and exisiting SIM - including mobile SIM card, broadband SIM and eSIMs are required to be registered. Although Republic Act No. 11934 states that subscribers have 180 days from the effectivity of the law or until April 26, 2023 to register their SIM cards, I took the time to register my Globe prepaid mobile SIM card to avoid deactivation. How to register your SIM card? Here are the steps and my experience in registering my SIM card.
UPDATE: The mandatory SIM card registration period has been extended for another 90 days or until July 25, 2023.

Now I am a foreigner, I made a mistake not reading carefully. I did the registration proces and suddenly my long time simcard which I use for banking/maya/gcash and you name it, is suddenly only valid for 30 days. What on earth is going on. How can this happen ?? And what impact has this to the green environment and the criminal activities to obtain a registered simcard by the criminals, to use it an extensive time there is only one thing to do with the owner, right?
