Successful SIM registration! I was able to register my SIM card within 5 minutes! Here's how I did it!

Under the new SIM Registration Law, all new and exisiting SIM - including mobile SIM card, broadband SIM and eSIMs are required to be registered. Although Republic Act No. 11934 states that subscribers have 180 days from the effectivity of the law or until April 26, 2023 to register their SIM cards, I took the time to register my Globe prepaid mobile SIM card to avoid deactivation. How to register your SIM card? Here are the steps and my experience in registering my SIM card.

  1. Now I am a foreigner, I made a mistake not reading carefully. I did the registration proces and suddenly my long time simcard which I use for banking/maya/gcash and you name it, is suddenly only valid for 30 days. What on earth is going on. How can this happen ?? And what impact has this to the green environment and the criminal activities to obtain a registered simcard by the criminals, to use it an extensive time there is only one thing to do with the owner, right?

    4. very simple, if you have friends in the Philippines, ask them to register your sim under their name..Just like me, I ask my cousin to register it under her name. I used my Philippine sim card for my bank transaction only for OTP..Non Filipino citizen has 30 days valid only for their sim card to work..Its Very idiotic law..

  5. Foreigner here. Same situation as the other. My long time number is registered to Maya, GCash, Foodpanda, etc and now it's only valid for 30 days. This wasn't thoroughly thought out for those who frequent the country.
